Nice set of headphones. Very clear, natural, detailed sound. They are a little thin in the bass department for some people but I'm not big on overly heavy fake bass like some other brands so these are great for me.

I've had several in-ear headphones over the years an so far I like these the best. Very accurate. Doesn't slam you with muddy bass. Highs are very clean. The standard sleeves fit my ears perfectly. They are very comfortable and the cord does not tangle easily.

Awesome best describes these earbuds. When I first listened to my itunes through them I immediately started hearing sounds in tracks that I did not hear before. The bass is unbelievable for the size, not overpowering but just enough punch. The rest of the spectrum is crisp and clear. I originally bought these exclusively to work out on the treadmill/elliptical. Great motivator. The sound was almost as if I was at home rocking to my stereo. At home I only use my Dr Dre headphones now if the house is extremely noisy. Not to undertstate the noise canceling ability of the earbuds.

I've always loved Sennheiser products throughout the entire range from Professional Sound (the 421 microphone makes any voice sound sweet and pure), through the over-ear headphones, and now these ear buds. Sound is loud.. It has an inline volume control which will allow you to set the volume lower then the MP3 player allows if you want the music to be in the background.

When I first tried them, I was disappointed with weak bass; however, after changing the rubber ear adapters to the large size (they come with mediums) the noise isolation was terrific and the bass BEAUTIFUL. The only CON: the volume slide control has an uneven gradient - at a point in the slide, it suddenly becomes much quieter. I plan to use the vol control on my digitizer, anyway. Otherwise, the construction seems very solid. Tested with MOG: Schubert's Trout Quintet (Levine).

These seem to be fairly modest-level Sennheizer earbuds, but they worked for me. I did not want to pay too much for a pair of headphones that I might accidentally break or leave on the airplane. The noise-isolating qualities are sufficient for use on an airplane and they were pretty comfortable for me. The markings for left and right ear are a little difficult to read, especially in a dimly lit plane.

These headphones work great and are reasonably priced. The earpieces are small & cushioned, unlike so many of the recent iPhone-style headphones, and so are very comfortable. The headphones also include 2 sets of alternative foam pads if you like a different shape for the earpiece. The carrying bag is nice, but not sure I'll really have a use for it. The cord is a little short for computer use, but works great for portable players. Overall, a very good purchase.

Sound is very good for the cost. Fit is extremely comfortable. Can fall asleep without hurting ears. Cable rub noise is fairly loud.

I own 3 pairs of these 1/3/2013

This is actually my fourth pair of CX 280s, and it's not because the others have worn out. It's just because they're great. I own two sets, and keep one in my bag and one attached to an iPod. I've also given two sets as gifts. The bass is quite good for all types of music, including hip hop, and once you choose the right sized earpiece, they do a nice job of blocking out ambient noise (note that these are NOT active noise CANCELLING headphones). Can't say enough good things about them at $30.

For the price, these head phones are real remarkable. Great bass response, exaggerated a bit. Those of you that don't like bass-heavy music should problem find another set. Not the clearest sound in the world, even after burning them in, and I would never use them for mixing tracks and testing levels. But for tracking bass (bass's sound real tight and clean), and especially for listening on the go, they work great, esp. for bass heavy music. They cancel out outside sounds well (as most in-ear earphones do.)

These were a replacement for the original ear buds that came with an ipod. The ipod has good sounding ear buds, but are uncomfortable, and fall out. I purchased a fairly expensive replacement at an apple store for fifty bucks - and they were horrible. No range at all - maybe defective. So I took a chance on these. These have excellent range and clarity.

Awesome product. These Sennheiser CX 280 earbuds blow away many that I've purchased in the past for much more money. Others include V Modem, Sony and Ear Candy. The CX280's are more refined, have more clarity and definition across the entire spectrum. Excellent bass but not boomy or muddy sounding. Clean refined music reproduction. I want to hear everything and do with these buds! Would by again! Have already recommended to friend who made purchase and is believer now too!

I thought these ear-buds would be better. They are certainly decent but nothing special. Very little bass. The volume control is a slider and difficult to operate. It also makes the cable heavy and so a clip would have been very helpful but there is none.

While I prefer my Sennheiser CX300 buds for most music, some music sounds incredible with these CX280 buds. The highs with these buds are a little too high, but the lows are wonderful. If I want to listen some soft music or music with heavy bass, these are definitely my choice buds.
